Same thing goes on in WA state. Despite being geographically red by a huge margin, we can't win any significant election, ever since mail-in voting began around 22 years ago. That time the results were dragged out a couple weeks as ballots were "found" one or a couple at a time until the dem won by 17. Before the "hanging chads" the Republican had the lead.
