Of course abuse is NEVER acceptable and every complaint made should be investigated fully. I think your abuse should stop now.

@LweezeMc I’ve seen this already? It’s great she has spoken out about her experiences. I hope she has formally reported these experiences to Swim England so they can fully investigate.

It seems no one is permitted to have a differing view, perspective or experience to you. It’s slightly ironic that you are calling out bullying by coaches but yet you seem to be displaying these same bullying behaviours yourself.

@helen_small1987 @LweezeMc @AndyPaighton @BeckyWoods_ @ellesmerecoll I don’t like this style of sensationalist reporting & don’t like this reporters need to repeatedly demonise high level swimming as it’s damaging to our spor. I’m calling for her to ensure she’s sure there aren’t deeper & more sinister reasons for some of these claims that’s all.

@helen_small1987 @LweezeMc @AndyPaighton @BeckyWoods_ @ellesmerecoll To reply, some swimmers simply don’t get on with some coaches this can lead to swimmers having a grudge. Over the years I’ve seen that lead to false accusations & complaints by swimmers & parents. Just hope the BBC fact checks all claims as there are always two sides, that’s all

Just don’t like the unpleasant tone of some of the replies & the incorrect very personal digs which could be harmful to others when my comments are my own and very generic about the damage to our sport that this style of reporting can do.

Have heard lots of stories from various perspectives, nothing is black and white and the fall out from that case has been awful.

If you are insinuating I’m the Marie I know of then you may not be aware of the significant impact one SE investigation had on her family with life changing outcomes for her child. She probably doesn’t need false accusations!

Some swimmers don’t get on with some coaches and sadly it leads to allegations which is why every complaint must be investigated properly with transparency.

I have only supported other parents (of my kids friends who have been impacted) in their quest for transparency. All the best to you.

@LweezeMc @AndyPaighton @BeckyWoods_ @ellesmerecoll Yep, these were the safeguarding concerns from the parents and kids left in the fallout of these flawed investigations. My kids friends were caught up in it all. We come from different perspectives but I think we all want the same thing here really. A safe and fun sport for all.

@LweezeMc @AndyPaighton @BeckyWoods_ @ellesmerecoll They were overwhelmed by complaints from people raising their concerns about the mishandling of cases where SE failed to investigate complaints properly. Friends of my kids got caught up in it all.

Just because someone says something doesn’t make it true, it’s their perspective and the other side must ALWAYS be considered.

@helen_small1987 @LweezeMc @Tanni_GT @Taraldillon Read the Weston Report…how they handled many complaints was deemed to be inappropriate and I hear many cases and challenges are ongoing. Funding is only based on change which is sadly not yet evident.
