Build it and they will come... the Oasis opened OTD, 50 yrs ago 🏊‍♂️ Broome Manor GC soon after. By the 80s, Swindon was the fastest expanding town in Europe with blue chip companies eager to invest in that energy & vision. Even STFC reached Div 1. Shame we wasted it...

There was a time when #Swindon was the home of the railways. Brunel was almost the Elon Musk of his day - a legacy that lasted over 100 years. Generations of engineers learnt their trade here and the car industry arrived as a result. Sadly, we're now the home of the warehouse.
