Switzerland condemns Russia’s large-scale attacks on Kyiv last night, which killed at least 15 civilians & destroyed residential buildings.

Internat. humanitarian law prohibits attacks directed against civilians & civilian objects. It must be respected under any circumstances.

Later, he will deliver a speech in his capacity as chairman-in-office of the #OSCE to the organisation's Parliamentary Assembly. Further discussions are planned with the Dutch authorities and with OSCE Parliamentary Assembly bodies, as well as with the #Swiss parliamentary delegation.

#Venezuela | Following the international call for assistance issued by the Venezuelan authorities, the #Swiss Rescue Chain has departed from Zurich for Caracas.

The mission mobilizes 80 specialists, 8 search dogs, and 18 tons of equipment. Upon arrival, the teams will coordinate with local authorities to search for, clear, and rescue #earthquake victims buried under the rubble.

#Switzerland welcomes the constructive progress achieved through the intensive diplomatic exchanges held at the Bürgenstock between the United States, Iran, Pakistan and Qatar.

The establishment of a High-Level Committee based on the MoU and the agreement on a roadmap towards a final agreement within 60 days are positive steps that provide a framework for the next phase of the process and enable immediate technical discussions.

At the Bürgenstock today, I met with U.S. VP @JDVance.

We exchanged on the ongoing talks on the implementation of the U.S.–Iran MoU and their importance for peace and stability in the #MiddleEast. Starting these talks in #Switzerland is an essential first step.

As the protecting power for #US interests in #Iran for nearly half a century, Switzerland enjoys trusted relations with both parties.

I offered our #goodoffices whenever they are needed.

We discussed bilateral relations between #Switzerland & #Qatar and ways to further strengthen our cooperation. We also exchanged views on recent regional developments following the Memorandum of Understanding between the #US and #Iran.
