Giant Bomb brought up The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom when talking to Naoki Hamaguchi, but he didn't specifically talk about it.
With the added verticality in Final Fantasy VII Revelation, I'm sure it won't be the last time he's asked about any potential influence.
And for the record, I’m not complaining about lame jokes, but rather the fact that these lame jokes are predicated on the audience half-remembering events.
There’s a joke in Scary Movie 6 where someone says something along the lines of, “don’t you know? You can’t win an Oscar for horror. Just ask Demi Moore!”, completely ignoring Amy Madigan’s win for Weapons (a movie referenced in Scary Movie 6). The whole movie is like this.
I was always curious when I heard that siblings don’t have relationships with each other as adults. Like, how does that happen?
Then I grew up and realised very quickly 😂
I'm glad Masters of the Universe was made because I liked it. It's not surprising it's bombing because it hadn't stayed relevant with kids. There's no absolutes because you can't say "No more 80s-based movies!" when you look at 2026's #1 movie so far. But you gotta choose wisely.
