One of our December highlights was attending the unveiling of the new #StationJim at Slough station - where people can scan to donate to our branch. Why not take a look next time you’re there?
To anyone affected by suicide – we’re thinking of you.
Reminder: if you find World Suicide Prevention Day hard, for any reason, it really is OK to switch off from social media tomorrow. Take care of yourselves 💚
We’re always here to talk on 116 123 📱
Listen up: It's time to stop whispering about suicide.
We are losing too many to silence. Help us shout about saving lives today, on #SamaritansAwarenessDay.
Let’s prevent suicide today. Because tomorrow’s too late.
Myth: You can’t ask someone if they’re suicidal.
Fact: Evidence shows asking someone if they’re suicidal could protect them. It can give them permission to tell you how they feel and let them know they aren't a burden.

If you think someone might be lonely, check in on them. Often just knowing there is somebody there to listen can bring some relief.

It all starts with small talk. A simple 'Hey, are you alright?' can be all it takes to interrupt someone's suicidal thoughts.
Join us in creating a community of small talkers! Let's move from bystanding, to standing by and offering support. 💬 #SmallTalkSavesLives
It’s not #BrewMonday any more but a cuppa and chat with a friend is still a good way to talk through any worries (here are our volunteers with our lovely branded tea bags). If you’d rather speak with a Samaritan instead, we’ll listen without judgement. Call 116 123
It's all about these little moments, that are actually pretty big. After all, they help make our day to day just a little bit easier. Especially when times are tough.
That’s why we love Brew Monday, it reminds us we’re not alone.
It’s about showing someone you have time for them and that they matter to you.
It’s giving someone space to show up as they are, whether it’s a good or bad day.
It’s about having a laugh together (over things like the silly amounts of milk your mate has in their brew).
