@trix_ecereal art depicting gross things is supposed to be gross, yes. that’s the point. the art i make expresses my feelings and relationships with traumas that are uncomfortable to process and thus uncomfortable to look at. it’s not supposed to be enjoyable. very simple to understand.
i’m perhaps the biggest pro-fiction anti-censorship guy out there, but removing people’s ability to have a say in who they want to interact with is asinine. i think it’s perfectly ok for people not to want to interact with me because i draw incest.
additionally: drugseeking behavior like this in children is fucking DANGEROUS. it should be CONCERNING. when i was this age i was running for hours to get ‘runners high’ and daydrinking stolen alcohol. i went on to have multiple drug issues as a teenager. addict genes ARE REAL.
everyone in the replies shitting on benadryl abuse? you do realize that DPH is an incredibly dangerous deliriant that is terrifyingly easy to access (especially for children). benadryl addicts are not ‘losers’, they are victims of a system rigged against them.
there is no such thing as ‘cool drugs’ and ‘loser drugs’. no matter what, people will always find a way to abuse something inherently ‘silly’ like allergy medication. you people need to behave.
@angelsealbasil obviously the general crowd of 15 year old ‘puppyboys’ who draw toddlercon are vile and need to learn better. i am more talking about people who make taboo art getting shunned as ‘proship’ because those spaces are the only ones that won’t call them fucking pedophiles.
@angelsealbasil so if i draw things that express my own personal experience with sexual abuse i should automatically assume people are going to want to jerk off to it? do you think things like mysterious skin or push by sapphire were made with masturbatory intent?
@angelsealbasil yea. i think fiction should be able to depict dark and upsetting things. art is freedom of expression. but i don’t think people should be jerking it to drawn child abuse. very simple line of thinking. i’m just an adult who doesn’t care about art discourse.
@angelsealbasil i do not! i think those people are really fucking gross haha. i think kink & stuff between two consenting adults is different, but depictions can tread dangerously close to harmful or illegal depictions.
@Coylephile completely reasonable but i’m specifically referring to people who would publicly put their pro-fiction status or content/ocs on their profile and people don’t necessarily want to see that, so it’s best to just deter from the interaction happening to begin with.
@trix_ecereal ID LIKE TO CLARIFY: i am not a weird ‘incest in fiction is hot’ person i just draw/write taboo and unsettling things based off of my own personal experiences as a form of self expression. it’s just easier to do with pre-existing characters. the art i make is not to be sexualized.
