We'll continue to share wildlife sightings, news, and habitat works from Carlton Marshes and the Broads Reserves, however on our new North East Suffolk account: @SWT_NE_Reserves
Thank you for your support!
Grateful to be out with the reserve volunteer work party today and clearing up the remaining scrub work and putting the brash to good use 🥰@SWTCarltonMarsh
A wonderful scene at @suffolkwildlife Carlton Marshes, transporting us to another world 🌎
Is a visit here on your list for 2024?

Peto’s Marsh @SWTCarltonMarsh looks ready for winter with footdrains refreshed, scrape edges rotovated, sward short, rush weedwiped. Bring on the waders and wildfowl this winter and let’s hope for fledging productivity again next spring! Onto the scrub work and Reedbed cutting!
Great to have @SWTLoundWarden out on the softrack today improving habitat in front of tower hide @SWTCarltonMarsh . Keeping our #fen areas cut and grazed is a key part of our #wetland management
Another first for the gate mounted trail cam intended to capture raptors at Carlton marshes was this lovely Merlin. Ignore the time it should be pm and not am, sorry @SWTSiteManager @suffolkwildlife@SWTBroadsWarden
Great to see that my local Barn owls seem to have survived the recent spell of terrible weather here in the Waveney valley. This one flew past me and landed on a gate only 20m away @suffolkwildlife @SWTSiteManager @SWTBroadsWarden
Mum and cub encounter a Chinese water deer at Carlton marshes last week. The cub is now almost at an age where it will be encouraged to go its own way by mum and put to use all it has learned from her over the last year or so @SWTSiteManager @suffolkwildlife@SWTBroadsWarden
