2019nCoV is in the wild in Sydney. If you are concerned about infection at training, we encourage you to explore non-contact alternatives to handshakes. Old-school kung-fu bowing is the new default.
And, like, don't train if sick. Rest up!
Kung hei fat choi, we love you all 🤗
(Context for our international audience: Sydney is on fire right now, the sky is orange and full of ash, and breathing outdoors is not recommended. Please wish us luck 🔥😷)
Reminder for our fencers that our club is air-conditioned. We've sealed whatever gaps we could find and set the AC on re-circulate. If you're after cleanish air, we've got some, and it should be okay for you to train. If you want to just hang out and breathe, that's fine too.
@JenCannPro@FIE_fencing That's true, and there needs to be an increase in transparency in refereeing conventions. We've been banging on this drum for a while...
@JenCannPro@FIE_fencing How does this help with directing? The enormous majority of comp-level hits will remain valid. Directing is a human education problem, not a technological problem.
@FIE_fencing: everyone has to use super expensive blades now because safety
Also @FIE_fencing : hey how about introducing a complicated new piece of equipment to force everyone to hit hard
Consistency ✅
It's 2019 and this is the only video we have of an Olympic qualifying tournament. Team GBR comes agonishingly close to epic giant-slayer status, pushing the unstoppable monsters of Team Korea all the way to 44-44 in the round of 16.
