For hard-to-abate industries renewable fuels like play a critical role in achieving a net-zero future.
Plant DAWN is now being commissioned and the first fuel batches will be used for showcases in various transportation sectors.
Stay tuned!
Our engineers worked on the calibration of the heliostats and couldn’t resist getting creative with our precise control system. The result was too cool not to share, so here’s a behind-the-scenes peek at what we’re now calling “heliostat curling”!
In June 2024, we inaugurated DAWN, our first solar fuel demonstration plant in Jülich, Germany!
Here are some glimpses behind the scenes of our engineers’ day-to-day commissioning work at plant DAWN.
The Synhelion team is based in Zurich (CH) & Jülich (DE). Our engineers often visit DAWN, our solar fuel plant in Jülich. For our Zurich-based colleagues working in various other fields, a visit to DAWN is a rare occasion. So, a proud selfie with the plant is a must 📸😅
It’s only the beginning of August, and today is already #EarthOvershootDay: the date when humanity has used up all the biological resources that Earth can regenerate in a year. It’s crucial that we all #MoveTheDate toward the end of the year.
