Why does Kenya mistreat its Doctors? We pay Doctors Kshs. 40,000/= per month, which they hardly even get. We pay our MCAs Kshs. 400,000/= p.m. & MPs paid over Kshs. 1,200,000/= … A student works hard, gets As throughout then does medicine for nearly 7 years paying annual fees of over 600K only to be paid 40K. And then there is this student who gets Fs throughout drops out in Form Three, yet gets ejected MCA for 400K. Another gets Fs, becomes MP. We really don’t value education or hard work in Kenya. Singapore pays its Teachers, Doctors & Police more than its Politicians.
