- the free Saudi coffee in the hotel lobbies
- the pin drop silence during the afternoon prayers
- The softness of the carpets of masjid an nabawi
- giving salam to the nabi ﷺ, abu bakr and umar (may Allah be pleased with them)
- the staff eagerly filling up and handing out cups of zamzam
- being able to sit and learn from great scholars, in the flesh
- the non existent sleep schedule
- visiting different sites of historical significance
- the scooters in medina
- the peace and serenity I felt as every waking moment was spent fulfilling our purpose: “And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.”
