This will be my last post on Twitter. If you want to keep on getting my posts, head to LinkedIn: https://t.co/erXjSeU4db, YouTube: https://t.co/9qjppKmfdr, or my Website, which will get a huge facelift very soon: https://t.co/u0HwgGRMbt. It is a personal choice to focus on LinkedIn and YouTube. I will miss the content from many of you who use this as a primary platform, but I always think good content makes it to you regardless.

Building a portfolio of your work is something we’ve all done at various points and you might fall back on Tableau Public or lean into a Maven Showcase to host your work. In my latest discussion with @juditbekker about her portfolio, https://t.co/CnjS8zYTXC she highlights the value and advantages of curating and building your own space alongside the small decisions she made along the way. #data #analytics #salesforce #tableau
🚨#B2VB 2024: build a unit chart! Figma + Cloudinary + a tutorial from @TableauTim to make some animated magic in this dashboard 🪄. Feedback welcome, #datafam. Also I need to drink more water 😅.

I had the chance to talk to @MerlijnBuit here (https://t.co/vSPw8oWYY3) about Supertables by @appsfortableau , previously a dashboard extension and now a native chart in Tableau. It brings beautiful tables to Tableau with the modern abilities you get in a range of spreadsheet tools today, alongside the ability to write back and even have AI help with your analysis. We also spent some time talking about Merlijn's journey with @tableau and the opportunities ahead with the platform opening up.

I had the opportunity to chat to @ladataviz earlier this week about the work @latinaviz and him are doing at Ladataviz to enable a richer ecosystem of creative data story telling and with 24.2 new native chart in Tableau. This is the first of three videos from our 2 hour conversation >> https://t.co/fkPPZNV9LR

@tableau 2024.2 is right around the corner, and we have been working hard with @latinaviz to give you the best-advanced charts directly in Tableau.
Here's all you need to know before launch: https://t.co/XY2g8vSQRV
@chadskelton@MSPowerBI@tableau@VizWizBI@FlerlageKev@flerlagekr @DataRevelations @DataPlusScience What would you say market share a signal for? If The best in class in any the industry or the most loved isn’t always the market share king. I have a video about why comparisons are getting quite tired working title is “use what you have to or use what you love” but first 24.2 😂
Accessibility is a topic that I'm sure we all come across. Still, recently I dug into it a little more and found that as my understanding of the area developed, I realised that my perspective on it had been narrow, and I needed to go on a journey to evolve it a little more. Last year, I reached out to @RonEisenstein a community member who has spent considerably more time thinking about this than I have and invited him to spend an hour talking about his journey and how it's impacted his work. https://t.co/YYo2rVJorU This will be the first of many perspectives on this topic I'll share on my channel, but I couldn't think of anyone better to start the conversation with—link in comments. #tableau #salesforce #data
Back on the mic after a while to debrief on Tableau Conference. We covered the sessions, some high level themes around features and the product direction as well as the "repulsion" we sometimes see targeted at the Salesforce brand.

24.2 is around the corner (link in comments). Multi-fact analysis will be one of those features that changes the scope, capability and breadth of questions you can now answer using a single data source in Tableau. I even had to clear my throat before this monologue; that's how serious I think this feature is 🤣

It’s allows you to save in the twb twbx format. It’s not going to get around the restriction of workbooks connected to databases or workbooks using data sources connected to server or cloud. That’s not changing. It’s free to try and test the boundaries. I’ve got the word out over to you to test if it can help you.
Tableau Desktop but free - ish. (https://t.co/khMeIyPpYa ) Yep Tableau Public Desktop Edition is live now in 24.1.2 and it lets you save locally on your laptop no restrictions on how or where... No I need to spell this out, you can :
1) Work offline.
2) Use public or private data.
3) You can use it to try out Tableau at work with any local file types (excel, csv, spatial, statistical) export you got sent.
4) You get autosave so no lost work.
5) No more publishing 100 times before sharing to the world.
6) All the power of Tableau desktop with only restrictions being on cloud / server and database connections.
7) We finally have something to shut down that PowerBi Desktop Edition discussion 😎
