The #Titoni Cosmo King line of watches was the first series that I collected. Unlike the King Seiko, which had different movements and case sizes, these were all the same lest for the dial variations. I liked how classy they looked, especially when paired with the bracelet.

I particularly like BNIB posts with wrist shots. Might as well throw in the obligatory ‘rare’ and ‘never worn’ tags while you’re at it. Oh, and don’t forget ‘hairline scratches only’.

@vintagewatchinc Missed out on a lovely Strela chrono - black dial, red and green accents - a couple of years back. Pretty sure it’s impossible to find now given the barrage of modern interpretations..

There’s a lot of hate for the AP Black Panther. Is there something I don’t get? Because I saw a wrist roll of the watch and the details on the dial is amazing. Maybe it’s the idea that you don’t pay top dollar for something Mattel can throw together for $5?

Patina is a thing. It complements watch design and adds that little bit of spice to that otherwise too-clean factory finish. If you add grated cheese to your pizza, chili flakes to your udon, or chocolate powder to your mocha, then patina (and in some cases fauxtina) is for you.

Oris brings some cotton candy to the mix. I’ll personally be looking for that Tiffany Blue dial. Don’t know how it’ll look with patina bronze though 🤔

Sinn hits home with their new U1 DS Limited Edition. The dial resembles the surface of a well-worn work desk, like they cut these out of decommissioned watchmakers’ benches. Choose bracelet of rubber.

My stand on vintage reissues - you get to use the functions of the watch as much as you want to, without fear that it’ll shorten the lifespan of a vintage movement.

Was listening to Fratello on Spotify - Gen Z not knowing how to read analog clocks will mark the end of wristwatches. Imagine all our watches and their value going puff. Another reason to keep smart phones away from kids.
