UPDATE: More than 1.2 million voter registrations across Texas are currently listed on the state’s “suspense” list ahead of the November election.

The issue reaches communities statewide, including approximately 300,000 voters in the Houston area, more than 129,000 in Dallas County, more than 73,000 in Tarrant County, and roughly 56,000 voters each in Collin and Denton counties.

A “suspense” status does not automatically cancel a registration or strip anyone of the right to vote. It generally means election officials need to confirm a voter’s current address, often after official mail is returned as undeliverable.

Check your voter registration today: Go to https://t.co/uDd5nM4OvR, select “Am I Registered?” and enter your information to check your registration status and address. If your record is listed as “suspense,” contact your county voter registrar or use the Texas voter-registration update process to confirm or update your address.

Do not wait until Election Day to find out your registration needs attention. Check your status and address by October 5.
