After a morning of climbing and team building activities, we are on our way home. Couldn’t be prouder of our children and staff, we have had a brilliant week. 😍
Groups switched activities today. Another sunny day. So proud of all the children, giving things their best and pushing themselves. They are an awesome bunch.
Message from Mrs Barnett from Yenworthy. After a long journey we had a lovely afternoon and evening doing the low ropes course and a moor walk. Now for bed!
Betty Webb MBE came to visit Tackley School today to meet the class named after her, Webb Class. Betty told us about life @bletchleypark during World War 2. We had a wonderful afternoon with questions, book signing and tea and cake. Thank you for your visit Betty. What an honour!
Thank you to Mrs Arneil for planning our amazing Arts Week and exhibition. On Friday we displayed the children’s artwork for parents. Thank you to Mrs Guy for her work in helping to put this together. Tackley school hall was transformed into a woodland retreat.
Webb Class have been busy with their learning this week. They enjoyed making self-portraits at Forest School with Mrs Hawes on Tuesday. Today they visited @OxMuseumService in Woodstock for a Roman workshop. This was followed by a history walk at @BlenheimPalace.
Thank you to the Tackley Runners who completed the Town and Gown run today, in Oxford, to raise money for our outdoor classroom. So far, they have raised the amazing amount of over £1400!

World Book Day events today were to promote a love of reading for pleasure. We did drop everything and read, even in forest school! The children made props for their favourite books. Tackley’s Picture Book World Cup was won by “The Book With No Pictures”
Many thanks to Simon Eastwood from @OUFCOfficial for visiting our school today. We learnt about Simon’s journey into football, his favourite animal and the books he enjoys. Thanks to Cameron from Premier League Primary Stars for arranging this visit.
We love Christmas at Tackley School. We held three amazing performances last week, all of which put us all in the Christmas spirit! We even had snow at our Key Stage 2 performance! Today we had a special visitor and listened to Christmas stories in our houses.
At Tackley school, our Christmas traditions have begun. We held our advent assembly where everyone placed a crystal on the tree. Each crystal represents a member of our school community. We ended the day at the pantomime. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
