Read Philosopher's Stone from someone, got hooked immediately, then had a chance to steal Prisoner of Azkaban from a schoolmate & took it. The rest came naturally after that.

Read them in this order:

Order of the Phoenix (2005)

Deathly Hallows (2009)

Flitwick was a former dueling champion. Think on that for a moment. Plus charms are more effective in dueling than potions.

McGonagall was old already & still shook Snape. She countered all of Snape's moves effortlessly and she's Dumbledore's second in command for a reason.

You read something in Book 5 and yell "aha!", thinking you finally caught a contradiction. You snatch Book 2 to "expose" the loophole and boom, it checks out. It even fills other gaps you had prior.

All. The. Time.

I still maintain that J.K. Rowling is a witch & a reporter and Harry Potter is non-fiction.
