My conversation with @ShaykhSulaiman covering the truth about I$raeli claims to have taken Ali Al-Taher hills, the demolition and destruction of Lebanese towns and villages, the massacre of children and the role of the resistance.
When I went back home to Khiam, south Lebanon on January 24, 2025, half my house was demolished back then (now we have no info about it as the entire town is occupied), but I noticed that most of my expensive items were gone, especially my persian carpets and rugs. My Library was deliberately vandalized before completely ripping it off the wall, since you know they hate books in general and especially pro-Palestine and pro-resistance ones. They even for some reason tore up my Che Guevara books and Bolshevik Revolution ones too and of course all family portraits and photos.
Out of all of what they took or vandalized, what actually broke my heart were my kids' bicycles. They broke my youngest's bicycle and stole the ones belonging to my 1st and 2nd born. They were brand new and the kids were excited to go back home to get them.
These vile pigs are the epitome of terrorism, moral decay and psychopathy. The only language they will ever understand is one of armed resistance and even then the only viable option to stop them is to dismantle their entire base of terrorism and Free Palestine.
I received warm congratulations for the people of Ukraine from Prime Minister @netanyahu of Israel. Our countries share deep bonds – between our people in the first place, but also in the economy, culture, and other areas. It is therefore good to hear of Israel’s desire to strengthen these existing ties. We count on working fruitfully together to bring about more security.
Angela Davis, Judith Butler, Jairus Banaji, Ruth Wilson Gilmore and Rashid Khalidi are not complete idiots. They know that the CIA and Mossad, per mainstream reporting, are actively organizing mass terrorist sabotage operations inside Iran, including being behind the January terrorist operation. This is not some arcane hidden "tankie" conspiracy theory, it was literally reported in the New York times and elsewhere. They openly boast about it, and they say that they are still doing it.
So why come out with an article that casts the Iranian state as inherently evil and fascist and authoritarian and in need of destruction, particularly when it is being waged war on by Israel and their own US regime?
Ok, let's say Iran follows your prescriptions, and dismantles its entire coercive state apparatus. It abolishes the IRGC, the prisons, the police forces, all of it is abolished.
What do you think happens after that, you utter fucking depraved pseudo-radical frauds?
What happens after is Syria and Libya on steroids. Unless you are a liar, you know that too.
And of course Iran, like any other state least of all your own with its global genocidal Zionist empire, will never do that because it is not suicidal, and its first and foremost task is to protect the sovereignty of the nation and its people. There is nothing "purported" or "ostensible" or "pretend" about this, as you say in your vile letter: Iran is among the only active anti-imperialist forces in the world today. That's an objective fact, and your pseudo-radical word plays in The Guardian cannot obscure it. We can all see it with our own eyes.
But the sole purpose of your letter, its sole function, isn't to affect any geopolitical realities, it's much more modest and personal than that: it is to act as a certificate to launder yourselves in the Western pundit academic class as the Good Pseudo-Radicals, so you can keep getting lucrative invites to talk at Princeton and Harvard and Yale and sell your pseudo-radical status for cash, which Davis and others have been doing for decades now as they demand you vote for genocidal Zionist Democrats every election cycle. This same crowd always puts out those hectoring letters ahead of an election for this purpose; suddenly "lesser evilism" becomes a moral necessity over immediate abolition when it comes to maintaining their genocidal Zionist empire and its coercive institutions, because they greatly personally benefit from it.
Steve remains a rare exception among foreign correspondents in Lebanon, consistently elevating the perspectives of the people in the south and anchoring his coverage in the lived realities of a community enduring relentless Israeli aggression, while honoring the deep historical stewardship of those native to the land.
It has grown uncomfortably transparent that opportunistic so-called 'journalists' have mobilized the ongoing catastrophe being endured by our people as a vehicle for self-aggrandizement, employing a rhetorical style that both diminishes our agency and casts themselves as intrepid saviors, performing a kind of theatrical 'fearlessness' that implicitly frames the native population in south Lebanon as passive or cowardly by comparison while they arrogate our collective voice for their own personal elevation.
Spending consecutive days in south Lebanon without engaging a single local resident or addressing the catastrophic human toll on the population lays bare the absolute emptiness of their presence.
We have no use for content creators masquerading as journalists, and if this shallow performance constitutes the entirety of your reporting, you should stick to posting on TikTok and Instagram, where hollow theatrics find a receptive audience among consumers of ahistorical and contextless 'content'
Very important to note that the UN Commission of Inquiry's conclusion is not only that Israel is indiscriminately killing children in Gaza, but *deliberately* targeting them.
In all my years covering conflicts in the Middle East, I've never before seen armed forces *deliberately* targeting children. But the receipts are there for all to see...

the Italian translation of 18 short stories by 18 brilliant Palestinians in Gaza who documented small human details of what it means to survive an ongoing genocide. Congratulations to each of these amazing people. It has been an honor to help amplify their voices.
Thank you to the wonderful @FaziEditore for expanding their readership into Italy.
