This week during #TAP i ran into and obstacle while trying to teach the kids. After talking to my co-op we both figured out a way for us to solve the problem to make the day run smoother. #edchat@PVHStap
This week at #TAP we changed our schedule a little so now i get to help the kids with math and foundations, I get a whole different experience trying to help them sound out words. So far i’m really enjoying the new schedule @PVHStap#edchat
During the first week in february in #TAP we practiced a lot of multiplication. It was challenging 2 explain 2 the kids how easy it can be but once they understood they were flying through there problems. I felt good being the one to help some of them understand! #edchat@PVHStap
Last week at #TAP we played fun games and activities on valentine’s day, everyone passed out their valentine’s to eachother and it was really fun to bond with the kids other than doing school work! #edchat@PVHStap
This week at #TAP we started division!! It’s a little challenging for the kids still but watching them start to understand and seeing it start to click in there head is such a great feeling! #edchat@PVHStap
tweet #8 My classroom at south is very organized and planned out, seeing how easily things flow in her classroom reminds me how important it is to be organized. It helps you keep things from getting lost and helps the kids learn in a clean environment. #edchat#tap@PVHStap
tweet #5 One of my favorite parts about going to south everyday is when i first get there and all the kids are excited to see me. Having a relationship with them makes them comfortable to ask questions and be excited to learn. #edchat#tap@PVHStap
tweet #4 So far throughout #TAP one of the most helpful things i’ve learned is how to be flexible. In the classroom there’s many things that can go wrong or not as planned and it’s important to be able to easily cope with them. #edchat@PVHStap
This week my kids took a few test online to see where their skill levels were at and did a lot of practice with addition and subtraction. We also had a few changes in our normal schedule which helped me practice being flexible with last minute changes #tap#edchat@PVHStap
dec 21st- we did worksheets together and we got to build ginger bread houses on friday which helped me bond and have a closer relationship with the kids #edchat#tap@PVHStap
dec 14th- this week we worked with flashcards of subtracting and addition, during it, it was important to keep the kids excited but also focused at the same time #eschat#tap@PVHStap
This week the 2nd graders are learned subtraction, i helped explain to my groups how to take 10 away from the first number and carry it to the second to make it bigger. This helped me learn it’s important to be patient with the students so they understand @PVHStap#edchat#tap
This week at my placement we continued doing stations. One of the days I did all 3 stations by myself. Doing this helped me learn how to keep the kids focused and on track @PVHStap#edchat#tap
