@Tablesalt13 Same thing happened to my Aunt in palliative care in Toronto, staunch Catholic, refused maid and a social worker would drop in EVERY DAY, and try and subtly solicit a change of heart
@GordonFielden@Reuters Who cares how people in Davos feel! My god!!! Poor little entitled people getting offended by “words” Such girlie men. This club of selectively selected people need to get out in the real world
My friend, Your allegiance to a Davos coup of the world speaks to your elite sentiment over a speech like Carney’s. Canada is at the bottom of the middle of the middle. Both you and Carney’s can genuflect at the altar of a Communist state like China, but it demonstrates your mean spirited dislike of people not like you. Carney is a blip, and so is Canada. As a Canadian, I’d follow the US anywhere with its current leadership. They are the reason we are safe and thrive. Get it? At least, they wouldn’t force me to walk the plank.
@ryangerritsen@mtaibbi was a contemporary of hers in Russia, her nickname amongst his colleagues was nurse ratchet. Check it out if you want. She has laid the foundations for years and eminstrated great fealty to communism
Every company listed below has suspicious revenue recognition. The actual chart with ALL the give-and-take deals would be unreadable. The future will regard this a picture of fraud, not a flywheel. True end demand is ridiculously small. Almost all customers are funded by their dealers. If you can name OpenAI's auditor in 1 hour you win some pride.
I celebrate the internet for reminding us that men (a hearty Scottish rover) such as this once existed. I curse it for making it so they never exist again. Sometimes it’s not the about the destination. It’s about the journey. Or he is the patron saint of mountain biking. <he reminds me of a few of my uncles>

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?! How about our government start sharing the wealth harnessed in this country via our natural resources? Every Canadian could be walking around like rich oil sheiks of the Middle East if we didn’t squander what we have. Where does all the $ go? Get used to a lower standard of living? wtf?!
Totally agree with this . OAS is not even based on household income. For example, two married retired teachers earning a pension north of $70k gross will both receive OAS. No claw back. OAS is a social service for people who need $ to thrive and live with dignity. Unlike CPP, it is not a pension Canadians paid directly into. I’m a financial planner and I’ve witnessed this very situation where people with north of $5 million in assets and amazing pensions will do everything they can to reduce income to get OAS. They are furious when they can’t get it all.
