Housing in Wales is responsible for 9% of all greenhouse gas emissions. Solving climate change and fuel poverty together is the answer.  The right to adequate housing can help do this.

The Back the Bill campaign believe everyone should have the right to a safe, suitable home they can afford. Habitability & Affordability are two key elements. Making housing a right can boost investment in warmer homes through adaptations and new builds.

Public Health Wales estimate poor housing costs the NHS £95 million per year in Wales. While every £1 spent in improving warmth in vulnerable households could generate £4 savings due to reduction in hospital admissions for circulation and lung conditions #FuelPovertyAwarenessDay
