I don’t like wokism. I have opinions, convictions, and beliefs that some people are going to strongly disagree with. That’s fine. Disagreement doesn’t frighten me, and someone getting angry at something I post doesn’t change who I am.

At the end of the day, I like my life. I love my family. I love my friends. I love my God. ✝️ I have things I’m working on, things I’m thankful for, people I care about, and a life outside whatever argument happens to be raging on the internet today.

So disagree with me if you want. Tell me why. I’ll listen fairly when someone comes to me in good faith, and I’m perfectly capable of admitting when somebody makes a good point.

But don’t mistake your opinion for authority over my happiness.

Your anger does not have to become my anger. Your bitterness does not have to become my bitterness. If you’ve decided you cannot have peace because somebody on the internet believes differently than you, that is something you need to work through. I’m keeping mine. ☺️

And for that matter, neither you nor I are the final authority on everything. There is a God greater than both of us. I’m much more concerned with answering to Him than winning every argument, pleasing every stranger, or collecting approval from people online.

So I’ll speak honestly. I’ll listen fairly. I’ll change my mind when I believe I’m wrong. I’ll stand my ground when I believe I’m right. And then I’m going to put the phone down and continue living my life.

Kuro, I appreciate that you actually explained your position instead of just saying “AI bad.” I disagree with a lot of it, but I understand some of your concerns.

First, I’ll clean up something I’ve said before. “Not everyone can draw” is too absolute. Most people can improve with practice. What I mean is that practice doesn’t produce equal results. Someone can work for years and improve modestly, while someone else makes huge progress in six months. Aptitude exists. So “pick up a pencil” still isn’t much of an answer to why someone chooses another tool.

I understand the marketplace concern too. AI can flood shared art spaces quickly, and tags, filters, or separate categories are reasonable things to discuss.

But there’s tension in calling AI worthless “slop” while also treating it as serious competition. Cheap competition can hurt a market, sure. But if people choose AI because of price, speed, customization, accessibility, or because they genuinely like the result, then clearly it offers something they value. At that point the argument is partly about competition, not just quality.

On copyright, “AI trained on copyrighted art, therefore it stole it” simplifies a much messier issue. Human artists also study and learn from work they never asked permission to study. A human brain and an AI model aren’t identical, but learning from something and reproducing it are not automatically the same act.

If AI substantially reproduces someone’s work, or someone deliberately copies and sells another artist’s work, that’s a legitimate problem. But that’s different from saying every AI image is stolen.

That’s why the Pokémon example matters. Drawing Pikachu yourself doesn’t make Pikachu your IP. Selling unauthorized fan art can still raise copyright issues even when every line was drawn by hand. “I drew it myself” doesn’t automatically give someone a spotless copyright position while criticizing AI users over training data.

I also don’t buy the idea that “transformative” and “creative” are opposites. Fan art, photography, collage, remixing and digital editing can all involve transformation and creativity.

I don’t think this needs to become a contest over which method is the “greater accomplishment.” They’re different skills.

Hand drawing develops direct control over anatomy, linework, perspective, color and composition. Serious AI work can involve directing the tool, communicating a specific idea, iterating, recognizing what is wrong, regenerating, inpainting, editing, compositing, correcting artifacts and refining the result until it matches what you envisioned.

A one-line prompt and mediocre image can happen. So can spending hours on one result. Epic said this video took six hours, 55 generated clips, selecting the usable ones, editing them and stitching them together. That isn’t hand animation, but “different process” does not mean “no work” or “no skill.”

The “take away the AI and you can’t do it” point doesn’t convince me either. Different mediums depend on different tools. A photographer needs a camera. A 3D artist needs software. Tool dependence doesn’t erase the ability involved in using the tool well.

And yes, if someone claims AI work was hand-drawn, that’s deceptive. But if someone likes an image until learning AI was involved and then suddenly calls that same image ugly, their objection clearly isn’t only about visual quality anymore. It’s about the method.

Where I disagree most is the idea that someone who didn’t learn your particular fundamentals therefore lacks discipline, creativity, or legitimacy.

Being skilled at hand drawing is an accomplishment. Spending hours directing, correcting, editing and refining AI work into what you actually envisioned is a different accomplishment.

One does not have to be beneath the other for both to have value.

@EpicTheFox @Phuzi_AI Something to add to that, is when someone says “pick up a pencil” is like telling someone who doesn’t have the skill or knowledge to fix a car to ‘pick up a wrench’. Not everyone has the ability to draw even with practice, so using other tools isn’t a crime

I've want to open up about things.

As much as i like to make new friends and meet new people to play and hang out with, many people especially vtubers and content creators i've met didn't value my friendship and just cut ties with me after they got big. I rarely gets mad for things like this but the fact that i've been treated like this on several occasions now by many different vtubers mean it is a scummy behaviour that people just do to build their brand and fame.
9 times out of 10, when i tried to reach out and make friends with other vtubers, the moment they got famous or have their big break, they'll refuse to talk or interact with me anymore despite doing so prior. For them, i'm nothing more than a platform for their career. The most scummy part is that some even outright admits to me that they dont want their brand associated with me after giving me cold shoulders. These are the people who told me they're my friends, but the slight change of wind is enough to make them jumped the ship.

For example, I once know this person who has a smaller following than me, even a smaller viewers with only 5 CCV (me being included), who recently blew up in popularity and gained nearly half a 100k subs. I used to talk to them, sharing cosplays pictures, even invited them to do collab with me which they refused (i thought of being a good samaritan and was hoping my viewers can give them support too). They said they aren't comfortable doing so, which i understand, but is open to the idea for the future.
After they blew up, i saw them doing their first collab with other big name vtubers and while i do felt a bit hurt, i still came to congratulate them for making it big. Sadly any attempts i make to reach out to them were just met with silence. I even contacted them on two seperate website to make sure they dont missed it, which to no vain. I know they are active in social media because i kept seeing them interacting with other vtubers who again, is more famous than me.

Maybe they are busy with the popularity they have now and tries to cash in, or maybe they turned their DM to avoid spam but most of the times, i saw these people READ my messages so i know that they do saw it, but chose to ignored it for some reason. The way i see it, the moment i'm too small to even be meaningful for them, they casted me aside and forgot i ever exist after i treated them like my equal when they have so little. Maybe i am not the first that they've done this too, but i want to talk about this because it is genuinely hurtful to me as i'm usually the one to make time and effort to reach out to them first.

Being a vtuber takes a lot of work and effort, but that doesn't mean you can just take things for granted and forgets those who gave you the chance when you have nothing for your name. I know people have the freewill to pick who they want to interact with or spend time, but if you are going to discard me after i'm no longer of use to you, then you're just lying to me by saying that we're ever friends. I genuinely wanted to make this work but if my efforts and feelings dont matter to you once you got your name on the plaque, then they never matter at all to you.

In the end, this is just my vented up frustration that i need to say so i can make peace with myself.
On the other hand, If you guys felt like you are the people i directed this to, then i'm sad to realized that you guys tricked me into thinking you were ever my friends.

Fair enough, you brought the source, and I’ll concede I was too skeptical of the 7x figure. That paper does support roughly a sevenfold difference in the specific comparison of children under 3 living with one biological parent and one stepparent versus two biological parents.

My remaining issue is just with how broadly the original claim was worded. That isn’t the same as saying every child with any non-biological parent has a universal 7x abuse risk, regardless of age, household structure, or type of abuse.

So yes, the elevated risk is real and the 7x figure has a legitimate source. I’d just qualify the statistic rather than apply it universally.

Yes, I’m familiar with the Cinderella Effect. That supports my point that there is evidence of elevated risk in some circumstances.

I’m asking for the source showing that stepparenting specifically is the number-one indicator of child abuse and that the presence of one non-biological parent produces a general 7x incidence. Those are much more specific claims.
