@CPowers14 The colleges and coaches are as much to blame for this shit at the NCAAs. All the college kids that come off these programs into mini tours / satellite tours are the same. Coaches get their shit together otherwise them kids shouldn’t play!!!
Question, any supers or golf turf guys have an opinion on driving range etiquette? We’ve been told Big Lines our entire lives but I’ve heard several that prefer a concentrated divot pattern? Would like to settle this.
It goes without saying Big Scatter is an invention of the communists.
Golf was so much better pre covid
You could show up to any Muni on a Saturday afternoon without a tee time and play 18 by yourself in 3 hours
Now you have to share a cart with a random guy that offers you an edible
And the round takes 5.5 hours
And it’s $120
Breetzke on the conversation he had with Proteas convenor of selectors Pat Moroney recently:
"for the foreseeable future, they don’t see me in the T20 & Test sides because there are batters ahead of me, With regard to the ODI side,he said my spot is not secured"
This is wild 🤣
@sambourke24@ProGolfCritic@GaytonMcK@Sunshine_Tour@GolfRSA Completely irrelevant as we are talking about impoverished kids in South Africa vs a golf tournament on another continent. The Sunshine Tour has plenty initiatives to grow the game in these areas. Gayton acts as if it doesn’t exist.
@jerichsen66@followthebounce Those certain “powers that be” are the reason we have a Burmester, Grace & Oosthuizen in the first place. Don’t be dense.
Now that the US Open is over, a couple of unrelated thoughts. 1st, congrats to JJ Spaun! What a terrific story of perseverance being rewarded. 2nd, why would you build such severe slopes around bunkers that make it almost impossible for a player to get a stance and then grow rough on those slopes ( USGA set-up) that prevent the ball from going into the bunker? In the UK courses have small pot bunkers that play really big because balls can roll into them from 25 yards away. Here we build huge bunkers and surround them with rough that keeps the ball from finding the sand unless you fly it in..... Doesn't make much sense to me.
