I’ve also been told my voice sounds distinct and it’s easy to pick out in a crowd. Too risky!!
This is why I can’t ever stream. I’d make some innocent comment about what I ate and then get doxxed like an idiot ☹️
😶🌫️ Tips to make you more anonymous and mysterious: 😶🌫️
- Never announce where you're going until after you've gone.
- Don't share photos depicting any distinct features of the outside of your house (windows and the view).
- Be extremely vague about certain locations and their proximity to you. Don't namedrop businesses (especially multiple ones), use generic terms.
- Be careful with how you talk about weather events, such as thunderstorms. I even end stream if a particularly loud storm is coming by because if it's heard over stream, people could match it to radar data.
- If you lose power or internet, blame it on something else instead of a service outage. It's very easy to look those up and you never know how isolated the problem is.
I kid you not, I set up all of my streaming equipment and just needed to click the button to go live. I wanted to hang out with you guys. But then I thought of how careful you have to be with your words and background noise and ultimately decided I can’t risk it. I’m sorry 😞
