@fatimalmahmoud Lifetime trauma due to the incompetence of our government. I truly hope they're still alive but i can't even imagine how they will lead on a "normal" life after such an event. Tragic.
Beirut has recently experienced a very devastating explosion that has left many people dead, injured, displaced from homes, families sleeping in the streets with their children and hospitals overcrowded due to the influx of injured patients seeking immediate medical attention -
وماذا فعلت السلطات اللبنانية يا فخامة الرئيس لتثبت لشعبها أنها أهل للثقة لتكشف عن الحقيقة، وأن لبنان لا يحتاج إلى تحقيق دولي؟ أين إنجازات القضاء مثلا في الكشف عن الفساد الرسمي المتفشي منذ عقود؟
I can't stop thinking of all the years we spent drinking, eating, laughing & loving a few hundred meters away from 2700 tons of ammonium nitrate. What if this had happened on a balmy Saturday night pre-covid, when those streets were packed with the country's future, its youth.
Lebanon is on its knees and needs us more than ever. Yesterday's explosion in Beirut devastated a city and sent shockwaves around a country that is already in the midst of political unrest, economic crisis and famine. We have to come together to help.
