I teach 3rd grade in Compton, CA. I am entering year 23 which is crazy because it doesn’t feel like I’ve been teaching this long. I have basic supplies, snacks, prizes and books on my list I also have groceries for the food pantry that I started. Anything is appreciated. #clearthelist

When my girls were little, sometimes I’d finish off whatever headless Dino’s and half strawberries they didn’t eat. A quick bite before bath and bedtime. Enjoy these days … mine are now going off to college for year 2 and heading in to senior … I swear they were just 2 and 4 … how did the years go by In a blink.

A few years back I had a video go super viral on tik tok. It was me being upset about my admin. Well obviously when things go viral out come people who think
They are Helping by contacting admin to defend me. People were posting her phone number name and email. I was like woah people stop this is so strange. It was a lot of stress in an already stressful situation. I had to go through and try to clean up my footprint to remove my real identifying info from accounts.

I think people see things happen to others and see the response like increased donations and support and they make it up that it’s happening to
Them too. Just like the “oh no someone marked everything as cleared but it really wasn’t” story. I think people make that up to get their wishlist recleared. But I’m a skeptic.

I went to the cemetery to visit with my mom. Last week was 2 years since she passed. Her birthday is next week. I had to take down the decorations because they clean the area every Thursday. I’m going back Friday to decorate for her birthday. ❤️ I miss her terribly but my heart feels all the love she’s ever given me.

When #ClearTheList first started in 2019 I made a post on IG showing my limited supplies given to me. My then admin was snooping on my page under her boyfriend’s account and saw it. Left some snarky comments then the next day called me into her office. She said I disappointed her and hurt her feelings because I was posting about needing supplies on Instagram. She shamed me
And I felt so bad. I cried and cried after school. I came to X and vented. I remember Kristen Johnson shared my post and people were commenting and sharing my link and my story. It was getting a lot of traction. People were buying from my list. I then got scared that my Principal would see that so I deleted everything. We didn’t have any rules against wishlists. I didn’t do anything wrong. If the admin was embarrassed over my measly supplies they should have budgeted for more then. I still have trauma over that incident. This picture was that supply box … supposed to last the WHOLE YEAR! #backtoschool
