"I'll Be Home For Christmas" - Dianne Reeves ❤️

One of the best Contemporary Jazz voices! I love the elegant, laidback Latin twist she put on this Christmas classic! 🎄❤️

"Cristo Redentor" by Donald Byrd 🎶

I love the melancholy twist this song adds to the playlist. It’s such a beautifully haunting melody ❤️🎄

Any Jazz Vocalist can tell you that you do not name the greats without mentioning Sassy herself! ❤️ This playlist would not be complete without Sarah Vaughan’s grand and marvellous voice 🎶

"The Christmas Song (Merry Christmas To You)" - A favourite of mine ❤️

I truly believe there is no better version of this song - I chose Nat King Cole because in this song he captures the Christmas mood 🎄❤️

With #heritagemonth coming to an end, it only makes sense to highlight a legend in South African Jazz - Dorothy Masuka who, along with her peers, laid down the foundations of the industry we know today ❤️🎶

I hope you've enjoyed my #HeritagePlaylist - https://t.co/MyhFtMFdC7

One of my favourite songs on the playlist is "Quit It" by Miriam Makeba 🎶

I've always felt quite a connection to Mama Miriam Makeba. It really became apparent to me as I started my music career overseas, far from home ❤️

My heritage is my rich language, the beat of the drum and clapping of hands and the dark chocolate hue of my skin. It is my praise names that tell the history of my clan. It is my innate rhythm and precise pitch. It’s where I speak from and where I sing from...My voice! 🎶💚

[TalieMonin @TalieMonin]

'Bab’ Bheki Mseleku is a great inspiration to me. He taught me how to be worldly and stay rooted in my heritage through music 🎶

I appreciate the finesse and timelessness of his sound 🎶 ❤️

A Zulu high priestess of song. My heritage sounds like this. Her voice, her music, her presence! Ngiyabonga Mam’ Busi for your heavenly gift 🎶❤️

The voice of SA Jazz, in my humble opinion. Oh how I admire Mama Letta Mbulu! ❤️

She is definitely a reference I go back to over and over again in my journey of constantly growing and improving as a singer 🎶
