This is real life, this is the harsh reality of the ongoing #ClimateCrisis and we need to take some serious action to stop these things happening and our children having to result to such things to raise money.
So I just went on to @SkyNews to browse through the latest news on the #ClimateCrisis and one of the headlines really touched my heart and I can't believe what I am read⬇️⬇️
A young girl(15) interviewed by @SkyNews explains where she came from, and how her family home and farm were destroyed by a combination of rising sea levels, river erosion and cyclones...
why is the motivation to cook such a weird thing for me
I can plan out some really nice meal idea throughout half the day and then I get home, stand in the kitchen for 0.038 seconds and go "eh I'll make a sandwish I guess"
Anyone else ever wonder if the metric system negatively impacts our quality of cooking/eating? E.g., "Cook this at 180* for 20 minutes" can't possibly be the most optimal temp/times. More likely, 183* for 19.7 minutes. But we round off the numbers, based on our counting system :/
AND if you didnt guess already, these deeply saddening events, are the effects of no other but the #ClimateCrisis
WE ALL need to do more, things like these are effecting the ability to farm and grow crops and feed families.
Please everyone try to do your bit! #oneloveonelife
Two years of unprecendented rainfall in #SouthSudan has changed the way the country looks.
Thousands of kilometres of rich agricultural land has been completely destroyed and now lies under water.
Around 200,000 people have been forced to seek higher ground in surrounding states like Jonglei!
These are communities where cattle was once raised and cereals like Sorghum was made, but now fish dart through the water and large water lilies have spread on the surfaces.😭
