People need to know that HIV Tests can have false negatives and false positives especially when using strips. That's why it's good to proceed with more authentic tests with the Unigold or Stat Pak kit.

While I'm happy for your friend being negative, I want to remind people that having HIV is not the end of the world and you will be fine if you judiciously take your medication. Also, I want to correct this notion that one has to be in a sexual relationship with a man or woman to have HIV. NO!

HIV can be gotten through different means eg sharing sharp objects, blood transfusion, mother to child transfusion etc.
