One of the big problems accessibility faces is timing. Too often, accessibility testing is treated as an annual review. The best orgs have it baked into job stories, PRDs, and UAT. It's checked multiple times throughout the product lifecycle.
"#Data is the new oil", "the data don't lie", "data-driven #strategy" ... these are phrases with the implicit assumption that "data" is only made up of "facts" gleaned from #digital activity.

@indiyoung THANK YOU!
This needs to be shouted from roof tops. On second thought, it might get more traction if it was gently, but firmly, raised in board rooms, workshops, and meetings.
Again, thank you.
@bigmediumjosh Can we all get away from "doing more with less" and lean into "doing better with less"?
Better implies improvement in efficiency and quality.
Which could end up being less work that delivers more positive meaningful outcomes.
Alternatively, "achieving more with less."
@lorielue Sounds like other people's experience is the best teacher. They've already paid for it and gone thru the pain.
Like the proverb says...
A smart person learns from their mistakes.
A wise person learns from the mistakes of others.
Question for @MarkHamill. How do you feel about the revised ending to ROTJ when Luke sees the spirits of Ben, Yoda, and now young Anakin?
Since he's never seen Anakin young, wouldn't he wonder who the young guy is?
@energydad9965@TheDamnedSailor@BillyBaldwin What's the lie Thom?
That. Trump knew the people he's standing next to in the pics?
Or, that those people did what they are accused, charged, and/or convicted of?
What proof do you have to support your claim? Were you there?
@itspatmorgan Sorry you found out the hard way. Whoever led you to believe that was possible lied to you.
Businesses hire people to design, not create art. They hire designers, artists. Big difference.
Designer's get satisfaction by satisfying the cravings of others.
I'm trying to define the difference between brand and branding. Here's where I land.
Brand = personality and behavior
Branding = style, and look and feel
If we think of people it's difference between who they are (brand) and what they wear (branding).
Thoughts?
@indiyoung If I could change 1 thing about personas, it would be to erase them from the history of design.
They never worked because they are flawed in concept.
They don't promote empathy β they promote bias.
Inclusive design is not possible using personas.
@TheRealJ_Money@krassenstein Sincere question. What exactly in Elon's statement do you feel was irresponsible? What facts did he ignore?
Much of what Elon says rubs me the wrong way, but this statement is about as balanced and fair as it gets.
@justinpitcher@jmspool You're correct Justin. The earliest use of carousels was for photo slide shows. Then marketers decided it was great way to put 16 ads "above the fold".
Another metaphor that thankfully is losing its meaning.
@uxlinks Nice share. 2 thoughts.
Under discovery I would love to see some root cause analysis tool. Maybe 5 Why's or Fishbone Diagram.
Under define, user or behavioral roles are much better than personas.
Can we just kill personas already?
@andybudd Same thing happens with hotdogs. Buns are 8 to a bag but dogs are often 10 or 12 to a pack.
Not enough people talking about this dark pattern. π€ͺ
