Ms. Perez and Ms. Banner - Here are two teachers, who don't fully feel comfortable going out into a protest, so they're going to create something else instead.
When we started this podcast, we wanted it to be a platform for anyone to share their voices through difficult and uncomfortable conversations.
So it only makes sense that as teachers we use this platform, Talking with Teachers, to give our students a chance to share their voice.
In this episode, young, Black, male students discuss how they help and support each other through virtual learning and the pandemic. They also discuss their outlook on the Black Lives Matter movement and their hopes for the future.
I promise you time spent listening to this episode of student voice is time very well spent. Very very special thanks to @MsPerezOHS and @banner_ms for creating and sharing @TalkingwithTea2 ❤️ https://t.co/melUzcjDho

We use this episode to discuss why we needed to take a break and how we worked to adjust to virtual teaching. We are extremely honest in how we have been feeling and the importance of acknowledging the small, daily wins.
Let us know what you think!
This season we are placing an emphasis on mental health and why it’s important to take care of ourselves physically and mentally while continuing the conversations on social justice.
