My daughter has been keeping a reading journal for a month. She couldn't write much before, but after starting it, her writing is getting better and better. She's using a regular planner, it has quite a big space to write each day, though, she filled it up and used extra post-it

We're Japanese, live in Japan, so getting English books is not that easy. The info about popular/good books is always a bit old. Of course they are good, but I also want new releases and new popular books info.
So I've started following some book accounts on Twitter.

I'm always looking for good books for my daughter. Most of the time I succeed in finding books that she likes. She is 9, so 8~12/middle grade is good for her. Personally, the range of books have really interesting books A LOT!!! The numbers are way beyond what I can handle.

My 9yo daughter is enjoying the Amelia Fang series. She's not that keen on reading honestly, because you know, YouTube is very eye and mind catcher especially for kids.
But she takes a 30min reading time every day and that helps her reading ability improve a lot.

My daughter got through the first sleep over at her friends' house, alone, successfully. My only concern was that she couldn't sleep and had to come home at midnight, but it didn't happen. She even enjoyed it. I'm proud of her.
