Building a protocol and token economy that enables creators to build, distribute, and own creative IP. Starting with our own killer app @avenuestories.
At @TallyLabsNFT we were always been focused on "hiding the wires" with consumer crypto products.
But I feel like we've really taken it to the next level with @avenuestories
With our old projects, you still needed to bring your own wallet, connect, mint, etc... in fact our UX wasn't as much "hiding the wires" as it was "thoughtfully explain what each wire does"
But with Avenue, we let the protocol be infrastructure and nothing else. Your wallet is generated in the background, your creative IP is registered to smart contracts in the background, rewards are issued in the background...
This is the future of consumer crypto. Your average user should never actually have the feeling of interacting on chain, but they should get all the benefits.
With Avenue growing at more than 80% MoM, we’ve registered more than 200k creative assets on-chain.
This is why it matters to build the killer app at the same time you build the infrastructure.
By seeding our protocol with thousands of creators and hundreds of thousands of creative assets, we find ourselves with users and data that developers actually want.
Avenue’s “free-to-play” model is starting to show a whale dynamic.
A user this morning spent $18 during a 3 hour session.
Someone else spent $36 during a 7 hour session on Sunday.
And while those types of purchases are exciting, they don’t even hold a candle to the value of the underlying token economy that Avenue is built on top of.
As time goes on, apps like Avenue will quickly build profitable publishing platforms because of the software and network effects that are enabled by the underlying protocol.
More than $200B annually is gatekept by web2 content distributors.
From closed networks to lost IP rights… from high cost of entry to restricted distribution.
We’re opening the door.
A blending of GenAI and blockchain enables a new era of creative franchises to be built, distributed, and owned by creators themselves.
Check out Avenue as the first of many applications that will do just that.
There have been 66k NFT characters built by thousands of users on Avenue in the last couple months. 99% of them are completely new to crypto.
Here are some of my favorites...
Over the last year we’ve built one of the most legit consumer use cases for crypto I’ve ever seen.
On Avenue, you can generate your own creative stories and the characters (like my PFP) that they feature.
It’s the ultimate “hide the wires” experience with a custodial wallet generated for users in the background.
Created characters are NFTs and use ERC-6551 so they can hold other NFTs (like items found in content experiences).
Stories are NFTs as well, owned by the creator, and the protocol enables a flow of recognition from the creator of content that goes viral to the creators of individual characters or story components that were brought in from others.
We launched Avenue as the killer app for our protocol in June to 100 creators. Since then we’ve grown more than 80% MoM to thousands of creators who generate more than 1,000 characters and 2,000 stories every day.
