Twitter has clarified their position. From this point on, apps that attempt to recreate the Twitter experience will not be allowed to access Twitter services. Unfortunately, this ultimately means that Talon will cease to work.

@RogerBlumberg@lukeklinker nothing is broken and there is nothing to fix. Just because you don't like something does not mean that others agree with you. Perhaps there is a reason that this is the color Google has selected for themselves and their design suggestions. I will be following their example.
