I really love how this theory ties Sentry's mental instability directly into the creation of Battleworld.

It makes complete sense that the Avengers would try to keep Bob Reynolds as a secret weapon, thinking his raw power can surprise an invading multiversal dictator. But Doom has never been beaten by basic physical strength; his real superpower is outsmarting gods.

Having the Void break loose and force Doom to relive his worst psychological trauma won't break him it'll actually inspire him. Facing absolute nothingness is exactly the wake-up call Victor needs to realize the multiverse is completely beyond saving, giving him the ultimate motivation to take control and build Battleworld out of the wreckage.
