Trying to capture the immensity of Korean pop music in 100 blurbs is near impossible, but @RollingStone we attempted just that! I wrote about IU, T-ara, Red Velvet, parkjiyoon, Girls’ Generation, VIXX, Pentagon, GFRIEND, NCT 127, Orange Caramel & DJ Doc https://t.co/p0MTg9OylU
So while I was MIA this weekend I missed this site’s owner sharing anitsemitic content & claims (ie jews control finances & have ruined X’s revenue) so I’m gonna head off for the foreseeable future because it just doesn’t feel safe or smart to be active as a visible Jewish person
Reupping this because I have some behind the scene access for some K-pop stars at NYFW and would love to work with some editors (with a budget 😅) on this
Going to be attending some NYFW shows if any editors want to discuss coordinating coverage. I'll especially be focusing on the connection between music and fashion industries.

Yesterday, around 200,000 teachers from across South Korea gathered in front of the National Assembly in Seoul dressed in black to commemorate the recent deaths of young teachers and to call for better protection of their rights.
Some South Korean broadcasters host end of year ceremonies rather than award shows (though the industry there is inundated with them too). Still get the performances without having to deal with the drama of awards (mostly). I doubt it’d work here, but I still think about it a lot
@mamachell I definitely noticed more Samsung sponsorship call outs than Toyota ones, but tbh since I was covering I didn't notice the pricing. I guess I gotta get back on Tiktok (taking a break because it's too addicting and I'm behind on all my TV shows!!!)
I covered KCON via a variety of perspectives for three different outlets, and it left me wondering who is KCON for nowadays? Maybe not legacy acts.
My latest for Notes on #kpop
