@kelly_ques I adore snails 🐌. They are my spirit animal 🩷. A few decades ago I had one or maybe more sautéed in garlic butter. I confess…. It was delicious 🫣.
HOW AN AVOIDANT SHOWS PAIN
AFTER LOSING THE RIGHT PERSON
They left. They pushed you away
They said they needed space.
And now you're gone. Really gone
Here's what nobody talks about:
Avoidants don't show pain the way you do.
You cry. You reach out.
You tell people you're huting
Trauma response mistaken for personality:
1. Hyper-independence: People who learned early that support was unreliable often force themselves to handle everything alone.
2. Constant hypervigilance: Some people cannot fully relax around others because their nervous system is always anticipating tension
3. Difficulty receiving help: People who grew up feeling emotionally burdensome often feel guilty when others help them.
4. Expecting the worst: When unpredictability becomes familiar, the brain starts preparing for negative outcomes automatically.
5. Perfectionism: Perfectionism is often an attempt to avoid criticism, rejection, or loss of control.
@DKAstrology She’s so cute!! My puppy has his first summer crushes. Bees 🐝 and pincher bugs. He hasn’t experienced the pain when his new pals sting him. Yet 🤭
