To me, the future that we seen of the blood chains is debatable if it’s real. & Ichigo unleashed Bankai without chanting the name; “Blood Chains Ichigo” is a form that has great significance because it wasn’t called by its true name (my opinion); it performs like a resurrection.
That, and the explanation Kubo gives of the Bankai and the true zangetsu doesn’t really negate the argument of the 2 Bankai; words mean things; and all he is talking about is what the significance it is when his blades are dual or single, and what happened when they shattered.
@KingOfLighting It kinda confuses things a bit more, as, what is the significance of the two since he changed “Bankai”; it only makes it seem like these are two different varied attempts to use Bankai, even tho they lowkey aren’t that different.

It’s like we are seeing a seed morph into an grapefruit and then a orange in two separate media, and we want to use semantic to say “but they r the same fruit cause they started as the same, and a grapefruit’s origin incorporates an orange”
@Nagato890 We also see in renji, that simply not knowing your zanpakuto’s real name can allow u to release an alternate bankai; or Yumichika in the same format but in shikai; so, there is context to infer modifiers can be applied *naturally*, and thus the resulting bankai achieved changes.
@Evanit0 Until confirmed, by head canon is that both bankai
are his, that the manga depicted an alternate future Yhwach already saw, and that Renji is a perfect example on how as you evolve with your Zanpakuto and learn more, it can change.
