A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for this morning’s Coton BioBlitz, especially our wonderful survey leaders who gave their time and expertise so generously. Part of the @CambridgePPF#NatureFestival 🔍🐝
It is one of my favorite halls of Kyiv Picture Gallery.
The gallery is housed in the former mansion of Fedir Tereshchenko (1832–1894), a Ukrainian industrialist and art collector.
I visited it today to see a new exhibition. Ukraine hides so many treasures.
As Donald Trump sends the National Guard into Pope Leo’s hometown, a Chicago priest is going viral for standing up to the president’s tyranny.
Fr. Pfleger’s rebuke shows Pope Leo is right: cruelty to immigrants isn’t pro-life.
Blackbirds are my favourite - one used to swoop down to our small lawn, in a back garden largely occupied by fruit and veg, every morning. Another used to sit atop the lime tree here and sing his heart out - just joyous. This year, a cat caught one …
@dieworkwear That’s the South Bank, London, isn’t it? Having been around it over many years, I love it. Being there, as it were, a participant in it, is such a different experience from looking at it.

Morning from Kyiv!
363 drones and 8 missiles - russia launched them over Ukraine at night.
We’ve been warned: russia finished preparations for a massive missile strike. We should be careful in the coming days.
Had my warcoffee. The sun’s barely breaking through the clouds.

“Martin Luther King…once said that ‘In the end we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.’ And unfortunately, we have this silence from the president of the United States which encourages Putin to continue to kill civilians in Ukraine on a daily basis.” Ukrainian MP @ChairOlek tells me.
This is a post to save.
When you decide to travel to Ukraine after the war, please add the village of Opishnia in Poltava Oblast to your route.
It’s the heart of Ukrainian pottery.
For over 3,000 years, this village has shaped clay into culture.
Later today,
I’ll send out a letter.
The first part of my trip to
Poltava Oblast.
It’ll be open to everyone,
But if you’d like to be the first to read it, you can sign up on my Patreon.
