Today I went to the market with my mom to shop for Makar Sankranti. She needed to buy a cap, and instead of going to a big store, we stopped at a small thela. There was an uncle running it, he couldn’t speak properly and was physically disabled yet he was sitting there with a smile, trying his best to sell his products.
Watching him made me realize we complain about small problems, while some people fight real battles every single day without giving up. We have healthy bodies, working hands, legs, voice, eyes things that many people only dream of having.
So we decided to buy several things from him, not just because we needed them, but to make his day a little better.
Today taught me something important:
Life is harsh for many, and beautiful for us if only we choose to see it. The life you’re living right now is someone else’s dream.
So appreciate it, Enjoy it, and work hard.
Life is so unpredictable.. you go for a vacation, and terrorists shoot you.
You go to a trophy parade and it ends in a stampede.
You go in a flight for work/vacation, and it crashes.
You are studying in your hostel, or eating in mess and the plane falls on you.
