Introducing Raspberry Licorice Root Sparkling Mead!
Made with local honey from @thelittlebeefarm and infused with raspberry puree prior to fermentation. Post-fermentation we added licorice root tea from @worldteahouse . Made in our usual style of subtle, balanced flavours.
We’re hiring for the busy summer ahead.
Currently seeking a Brewery Production & Cellar Assistant to help out at the main brewery.
More info and how to apply can be found here 👉 https://t.co/dyu0rzak10
This amber beer contains 50% rye malt which provides a distinct
flavor and richness. The banana and spice aromatics provided by the yeast
make for a really complimentary flavour combination. Think traditional Roggenbier but with a NS twist.
Our last new release of the year and we’re pretty proud of how this one turned out!
Meet Wild Rye
A German Rye ale brewed with a local NS yeast strain from Cape Breton. The very same one we use in our Sauvage beer.
The other half was fermented in tank and after fermentation was dry chai’d (that’s a thing right?) with chai tea from the @teabrewery . We then blended the two together for a lovely, complex big beer.
You can find it now at both locations and on tap at the Duke St taproom.
We snuck out another new release beer this weekend and we’re super excited about this one!
Blended Chai Milk Stout is an Imperial Milk Stout with Chai Tea. Half of this stout spent 6 months in @ironworksdistillery rum barrels.
Muscat Saison has just hit the taps at Duke St.
Muscat is a harvest Saison fermented on Muscat grape skins from @grandprewines . The skins were added prior to fermentation for extended contact time, providing lots of flavours as well as also a lovely pink hue.
Join us this Saturday at the brewery in Chester Basin to celebrate our 5th anniversary. We have special beers being released, food on-site & afternoon music. We'll share more over the next couple of days, but for now, here's our list of specialty beers for Saturday.

Need a break from storm cleanup? How about a break on our patio with our newly released cherry basil sparkling mead!
Duke St taproom is open today at noon.
The brewery still has no power and will remain closed today.
🚨We’ll be closed Tuesday August 16th 🚨
This summer has been one heck of a ride so far & our team has been working super hard to keep up. So we’re taking the day off to take everyone to the valley for a wine tour to blow off a bit of steam.
We’ll see you all again on Wednesday
Getting my grill game on at my in-laws’ with this excellent wild ale from @TannerBrewing in Chester. I’ve also had a kolsch-style ale that’s one of the top North American variations on the style I’ve had, plus a kottbusser. A KOTTBUSSER. I’m really enjoying their stuff.
