The deeper I dig into the H-1B data, the more I realize the problem isn’t always people breaking the rules.

Sometimes the rules themselves are the problem.

I found certified H-1B filings where the official WORKSITE is a private home.

Some literally state:

▪️ “Beneficiary Residential Address”
▪️ “Remotely from Residential Address”

And yes, this is unfortunately legal.

But here’s the policy gap:

If a job can be performed entirely remotely from someone’s living room, why are we importing a foreign worker into the United States to perform it?

Especially when most H-1B employers aren’t required to first prove they tried and failed to hire a qualified American.

Remote work completely changed the labor market.

H-1B policy didn’t change with it.

If a job can be performed from anywhere, shouldn’t employers have to search anywhere in America before using an employment visa to bring someone here to do it remotely?

The more I investigate this system, the more obvious it becomes:

We don’t just have an enforcement problem. We have a policy problem.

A 42-year-old man named "Raymond Sookram" lured a 14-YEAR-OLD GIRL who missed her school bus into his truck, saying he would give for a ride home.

...but he never took her home

Instead, he se*ually assaulted her and then dropped her back off at her school.

He has been arrested for aggravated child mol*station, trafficking a person for se*ual servitude and interference with custody, according to the sheriffs office.

Sookram's neighbors are terrified saying he was well liked and ran a home remodeling business and many people trusted him to come in and out of their homes.

...this is likely not his first victim

Please pray for this girl and her family, I cannot even image what they are going through.

A plan to eliminate the 60-day window for H-1B workers to find new employment after a job loss has received approval from a key White House office.

Now H-1B workers will face an immediate requirement to depart the USA if they lose a job. There is no more 60 day opportunity to find a new sponsor or change their visa status.

Since 2017, eligible H-1B workers who lose their jobs have generally been granted up to 60 days, or until the end of their authorized stay, whichever comes first, to find a new sponsoring employer, change immigration status, or depart the United States.
