While tuning into a podcast by Simon Sinek last week, I came across a statistic that truly astonished me! I was aware that a billion exceeds a million by a lot, but this really puts it into perspective!

@EddieSheerr And it’s just normal to use the word billion in a sentence now regarding government spending, buying companies, number of people who are billionaires etc. Seems like we went from millionaires being a big deal to billionaires not even being noticed over night.

Remember when people used to say words like “this person has $10 million or $100 million and we would all be like “wow that’s a lot”. Now it’s $10 billion and $100 billion and no one bats an eye. Billions of dollars is just normalized now,sadly.
