The Canada-U.S. relationship has been built up over decades, and it’s delivered enormous benefits for both countries.

The new tariffs announced today will hurt both Canadian and American businesses and workers. Tariffs are an economically destructive policy and have been proven time and again to hurt the people of the countries that impose them.

I will be meeting with Premiers from across Canada and the Prime Minister later this week to discuss this issue and will reaffirm my position that the path to a positive resolution with our U.S. partners lies in strong, consistent diplomacy and a commitment to working to address shared priorities. I firmly believe that Canada and the U.S. are both stronger when we work together.

I’m thankful for the work of the diligent Calgary Police officers and ground search teams working around the clock to find Parker. The province has also deployed 74 trained search and rescue personnel to assist in this search.

But we need your help.

Parker is an 11 year old boy, he has autism and is non-verbal. If you see Parker, do not approach him, as he can become easily frightened and may attempt to hide. Instead, keep your distance and contact police immediately.

Also, this survey is from the largest employers in the province. Paints quite a different picture than the now obviously debunked claims of investment fleeing the province.

Altogether this influx of tens of billions of dollars in new investments will generate hundreds of billions in new revenues for the province and hundreds of thousands of new jobs for Albertans.

One of the largest private sector investments in Canadian history is coming home to Alberta.

@Meta has chosen Alberta for its first Canadian AI data centre, a historic $13 billion investment that will create thousands of jobs, strengthen our economy, and help position our province as a global leader in artificial intelligence and technology.

This project will support 3,000 construction jobs, 300 permanent positions, generate an estimated $250 million in annual benefits for Albertans, and invest $60 million into local roads, water, and community infrastructure.

Meta is fully funding new generation and grid infrastructure to support the data centre, which will improve reliability across the entire Alberta grid benefiting electricity customers across the province by reducing transmission costs by up to six per cent on Albertans’ utility bills.

We are proud to welcome Meta to and thank them for their confidence in our province, our economy, and most importantly, our people. Alberta has the energy, talent, and ambition to power the next generation of innovation.
