Toyota Kirloskar Country Head Vikram Gulati says there is "no need to worry about E20." According to him, E20 is safe, extensively tested, compatible with vehicles, and concerns around engine damage are unfounded.

He also called ethanol one of the fastest and most cost-effective ways to reduce emissions, strengthen India's energy security, cut crude oil imports, and boost farmers' incomes.

Farmer leaders have extended their support for E20 after meeting Union Agriculture Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Earlier, prominent farmer leaders from Punjab and other states had expressed concern over Arvind Kejriwal’s campaign to mislead the middle class with misinformation about E20.

The farming community understands that higher ethanol blending creates a stronger market for agricultural produce, enhances farmers’ incomes, reduces India’s dependence on imported crude oil, and supports cleaner mobility.

This is what happens when someone actually working inside an ethanol plant decides to show the reality.

Chemist Harshit broke down the process and cleared the air around the fake viral claims of huge water consumption. The actual figure is around 3–4 litres of water per litre of ethanol, nowhere close to the 30–40 litres being claimed online.

Maybe it’s time we discuss E20 with facts instead of fear.

1. Publish the official reports of tests conducted before introducing E20.

2. A promise in clear & unambiguous words that Govt doesn't have any plan to increase Ethanol Blending further beyond E20.

3. Official statements must come ONLY from concerned Ministry which is ONLY & ONLY Petroleum Ministry. No other Minister or Ministry should be allowed to say a single word on Ethanol Policies that gives opposition to accuse "Conflict of Interest".

As of today.... Kejriwal's plans flopped. But this is the beginning & not end. Modi Sarkar must stay proactive & ready.

Vartika Shukla, CMD of EIL, has demolished the E20 fearmongering.

India didn’t jump to E20 overnight. From just 1.5% blending in 2013–14 to 20% in 2025….. this was years of scientific testing, stakeholder consultations and rigorous validation.

The opposition can keep pushing propaganda. The data says India’s ethanol programme is strengthening energy security, reducing crude import dependence and delivering results 5 years ahead of schedule.
