E per questo è stato richiamato dal Presidente dell’Aula, altro esponente del Pd, che aggiunge: “Per favore, usi termini consoni al suo ruolo”.

Quindi, per questi signori, essere “ciociari” è una vergogna e se lo dici a qualcuno equivale ad insultarlo. Non solo: è addirittura un termine che non va pronunciato in un luogo istituzionale.

Mi spiace per loro, ma io non la penso così. E sono orgogliosa di essere definita ciociara. Perché la Ciociaria è uno dei territori più belli, antichi e straordinari della nostra Italia. Terra di Papi e condottieri, di Santi e artisti, di letterati e poeti. Cicerone, Caio Mario, Bonifacio VIII, San Tommaso d’Aquino, Marcello Mastroianni, Vittorio De Sica, Nino Manfredi e tanti altri uomini e donne che nel corso del tempo hanno fatto la nostra storia.

Si riempiono la bocca di popolo, rispetto e coesione. Ma poi insultano, in un colpo solo, quasi mezzo milione di italiani definendoli inferiori, ignoranti, cittadini di serie B. Ma ad essere ignoranti sono solo loro.

Viva la Ciociaria!
