Here at DC Jail: all but perhaps two January 6 defendants are still locked up, and an MPD officer now tells their supporters outside that nobody else will be freed tonight from this facility despite Trump’s pardon order saying to let them out “immediately.”

Police addressed a frustrated crowd of J6 supporters awaiting the Trump ordered release of prisoners held at the DC Detention Center. Only brothers Andrew and Matthew Valentin had been released by the end of the night from the DC jail while the others continue to be imprisoned.
