The Pentagon is awarding $10 million to the Mike Rowe Works Foundation with the goal of getting more young Americans trained to help build and repair ships, aircraft and munitions
Mike Rowe has been advocating for America to make investments in the futures of young Americans since his time on the Discovery Channel series Dirty Jobs
“Turns out these are AI-proof, 6-figure jobs that we're talking about — the feds have quite rightly come to the conclusion that we've got a skills gap that is not only affecting the population at large, it's impacting our national security”
“We're looking for the next generation of submarine builders and shipbuilders and people who can work on sophisticated weapons systems. They gave me the money to help train them, but they're also investing hundreds of millions of dollars into this effort”
Just so everyone can rest easy on this money being given to Mike Rowe’s nonprofit, he has consistently taken $0 in compensation from it. All the money he takes in actually goes to what it’s supposed to go to, helping people
Mel Gibson is working on a new miniseries about one of the most epic battles in Christian history, the Great Siege of Malta (1565).
Fewer than 700 Knights of St. John held off an Ottoman force of nearly 40,000, fighting to stop the fall of Christian Europe and decide the future of the Mediterranean.
A story of courage, faith, and impossible odds, finally coming to the screen.
Video of Ukrainian soldiers from Christian Corps taking 3 Russian soldiers prisoner while praying.
The Christian Corps is an association of combat units under Ukraine’s Main Directorate of Intelligence.
It unites special operations soldiers who share a common faith-based vision of military service.
It includes units such as Tradition and Order, the Order of Jesus Christ, Brotherhood of Drones, the 6th Special Purpose Detachment and many other.
Membership is restricted to Christians, with atheists and people of other religions generally not accepted.
Faith is treated as a source of cohesion, resilience, motivation and discipline.
Units pray before operations and view their service in religious and ethical terms.
Its official website describes the Christian Corps as “the first and only professional Christian army of the 21st century”

🇺🇸 The drone era has reached the rifle squad. U.S. Marines are training to fight the next battlefield with weapons from the past.
At Twentynine Palms in California, Marines are practicing something that would have sounded unrealistic just a few years ago: taking down enemy drones with rifles and shotguns.
The reason is simple. Cheap UAVs have changed warfare. Small drones can now scout positions, direct artillery, or carry explosives, making them one of the biggest threats facing ground troops.
The new training reflects a major shift in military thinking. Advanced electronic warfare and anti-drone systems matter, but soldiers may still need basic skills to survive when a drone appears overhead and there are only seconds to react.
The future battlefield may be dominated by technology, but the first line of defense could still be the individual soldier with a weapon in hand.

A Muslim asks a Christian about the Crusades in the Middle Ages.
“Before the Crusades, Islam had already invaded the Christian lands of Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Spain, Portugal, Turkey. And was trying to conquer Europe.”
Another Muslim asks about the European slave trade.
“The Islamic slave trade had existed for centuries before the European slave trade, from both Africa and Europe. And it never really ended.
Your own prophet Muhammad was a slave trader.”
