The take away shouldnt be that Iranians are now suddenly “pro IRGC” or “rallying behind the flag”

I can only speak from personal experience of talking to family members in southern Iran. They are fed up. Fed with with the regime and fed up with a Trump administration that keeps making wrong decisions.

After the likes of JD Vance in Trump administration made it clear time after time that the goal was never regime change, instead to bomb Iran into a “deal” sentiments towards US have changed for the worse.

Contrary to late February - early march when a large chunk of Iranians inside of Iran were actually recording themselves celebrating the strikes and speaking of optimism regarding regime change, this time around nothing of sorts.

Nobody is on onboard with these pointless strikes that only make people’s lives more difficult and terrifying, now some are resorting to fabricating consent for them.

Accounts with big followings are posting this video and claiming Iranians are “celebrating” the ongoing US strikes on southern Iran.

These women are reciting lyrics of a famous IRGC war song “strike , you’re striking good” referring to hitting US/Israel and were mocking Trump.

I have previously stated that it is never America’s job to topple this regime and the need for an organized nation wide armed resistance inside of Iran. It’s something that our opposition is working on.

My tweet is more so about the administration’s false promises and using Iranian protesters as a selling point for military strikes on Iran any time a potential deal falls through

Donald Trump and his administration are elected officials of America, not the Iranian opposition.

If they feel a deal is in the interest of their country rather than continuing the war, then so be it.

The Iranian opposition has become too lenient on Israel and America to do everything.

We were always bound to end up here because we are yet to form and mobilize a nation wide resistance group inside Iran.

I understand the leniency to a certain degree because it has become crystal clear we are going to need outside help to topple this ruthless regime.

We are talking about ordinary people attempting to overthrow a military dictatorship being actively aided by China and Russia.

But the expectations and demands must be reasonable.

We are not entitled to American boots on the ground, we are not entitled to any Israeli drones targeting IRGC sites.

Some folks will point to past statements made by Netanyahu and Trump to justify entitlement, but guess what, POLITICIANS LIE ALL THE TIME and conveniently forget their promises once it doesn’t suit them.

When it comes to our main objectives, a potential deal between US and IRGC changes nothing.

Deal or no deal, we still need to find a way to get Iranians inside access to Internet and form organized armed groups.

So long as we cannot point to any organization inside the country, western leaders will never take us seriously and treat everything as a quick trend that will pass in a month or so.
