Some people refuse to accept the fact that you’ve changed for the better. They keep harping on the “old” you. They refuse to see you in a new light. They can’t stop talking about your past mistakes and wrongs. Ignore such people. Time to move on.

[Mufti Menk @muftimenk]

Patience is not easy. It’s not for the fainthearted. That’s why the rewards are so great. It can break you, wreck you, makes you want to scream and give up but you press on because you know what the Almighty loves. He is always with the patient.

[Mufti Menk @muftimenk]

The trouble with us is we stress over everything. We want to micromanage and control things. Don’t. The truth is six months from now or even sooner, everything you're stressing about won't even matter. Take things in your stride. Let the Almighty take charge.

@ateardrp I STAN 😍😍😍😍

[Mufti Menk @muftimenk]

There is way too much competition in the world today. Few people want to work together and help each other succeed. Instead, we get envious when others do well. This is wrong. Be happy for others.

[Mufti Menk @muftimenk]

You can’t choose your family. The Almighty has done that for you. So learn to give and take as much as possible. Remind and guide when you can. Remain respectful and keep the peace. It’s not easy. But know that breaking the ties of kinship is a huge sin.

[Mufti Menk @muftimenk]

Be prepared to have the most unexpected people let you down. It’s bound to happen at some stage. Amid all this, be yourself and spread goodness as much as possible but don’t expect goodness from everyone.

Watching live as Israeli army broke into the French hospital in Jerusalem and attacked the funeral of Shireen Abu Aqleh. They almost knocked down her casket. She was put in a hearse & the army is ripping flowers and Palestinian flags off the hearse… I am in shock…

[Mufti Menk @muftimenk]

The bottom line is you really can’t count on people to motivate you and build you up in life. The truth is everyone is so caught up in their own lives that they have little or no time for others. Learn to encourage yourself but don’t leave the Almighty out of the equation.

Saying ‘could never be me’ is sooo disrespectful in any context because do you think anyone asked to be in these situations?? Life can come at you fast you know

[Tazz @TasneeemAE]

Every single Ramadan. Brutal and enraging. I long for the day we don’t see #AlAqsaUnderAttack by the occupation as a Ramadan routine. I long for the day the occupation ends and we can spend Ramadan in peace in the sacred Masjid. May we see it soon. Ameen
